About AWE:
AWE is a server plugin for Counter-Strike: Source
that modifies game play. It's similar in nature to the
Warcraft3 and
Superhero mods for Counter-Strike.
Players gain experience for actions like setting the bomb or rescuing hostages.
As a player gains more experience, they gain new abilities or improvements to
current abilities.
Since AWE is a server side plugin, players need
only connect to a server that has installed AWE in order to play. Depending on
the configuration, players may be required to download models and materials the
first time they connect to an AWE server. Be patient, AWE doesn't require much
custom content so you should be connected in no time.
Say Commands:
awemenu (may also say short version: awe)
- opens the menu, allowing you to choose
class, choose abilities, view your skills, view all players' classes/skills, get
help
Binds:
Open your console (usually by hitting the ~ key).
You may need to enable the developer console (click
Options>Keyboard>Advanced...).
+special - use your special ability
example: bind "mouse4" "+special"
+item - use an item you have purchased
(not all items require being used this way)
example: bind "i" "+item"
awemenu - If you want to bind a key to open
the menu, bind a key to "say awemenu"
example: bind "o" "say awemenu"
