VIP Plugin - Info for Server Admins
The VIP plugin enables the assassination style game play from Counter-Strike in the Counter-Strike:Source environment. (See Info for Players.)
Installing the plugin:
| 1. | Download and install MetaMod:Source.
MetaMod:Source is available at
SourceMM.net with
full instructions for installation.

| 2. | Start the server and type
meta. If you receive
an error because the command is unknown, go back to Step 1.

| 3. | Unzip the files/folders from the cstrike
folder in the zip package to the cstrike folder on your
server. If you use a sv_downloadurl for fast downloading,
upload everything except the cstrike/addons directory to
the sv_downloadurl web server.

| 4. | Open cstrike/addons/metamod/metaplugins.ini
and add the following line: For Windows, addons\metamod\bin\vip_mm For Linux, addons/metamod/bin/vip_mm_i486.so

| 5. | Start your server and type meta list at the
console. You should see something like this:
If you see ERROR or FAIL instead of VIP mod, the plugin didn't load. Check your server logs to determine why. If you have a Linux server and get find an error message in the logs about libstdc++.so.6, try the alternate Linux so file.
If you see NO FILE instead of VIP mod, either your path is setup wrong in metaplugins.ini or the file is not in that location.

| 6. | To test the operation of the plugin, download an as_ map or the as_test map provided on the VIP plugin mappers page. | |

| 8. | Sign up for the VIP plugin mailing list. You will only receive email when the VIP plugin is updated or a Valve update requires an plugin update. (Historically, most updates haven't required a fix, except for Valve's July model changes.) | |
